About L.Taylor
As you can guess, stories have always been a big part of L.Taylors life. They sprouted out from her as a child, from her room you could always hear the clatter of keys.
Besides stories, she loves colours. When she found the right shade for the kitchen, she worked her way through a considerable amount of paint cans. But it was worth it, ginger is the best way to describe the final shade that now adorns the kitchen cabinets.
As a creative spirit L.Taylor sees possibilities in unexpected things: create her own a Heartcup animation with Illustrator, T-shirt prints through different layers and why not publish a book through releasing chapters on Spotify?
For a mother of two life is more than creative projects and work. (Yes, she manages a day job as well). When she is not writing, creating, or preforming daily tasks she walks the woods, picks herbs, and dives into the mystery of being a human on earth.

What about her common name?
When L.Taylor released Heartcup to an English audience, she decided to use a pen name when exploring the unique tonal voice of the fantasy genre.
Prior to Heartcup, she had published the feelgood noir The American Guest under her name Maria Limshage (and who can pronounce Limshage outside Northern countries?). Her middle names Louise Taylor were perfect for the fantasy genre and reminded her of great authors. Well, there it is: L.Taylor, fantasy writer.
Popcorn Night
She, my mirror, my sister, with big glasses and curly hair, life is a stream and she’s a good swimmer, tonight she’s swimming really well when all I can see are the words crowding my father’s lips.
Salt and pepper
Salt and pepper in my hand, out of my reach. For it is your pepper mill, yours alone and despite your silence, despite that no explanation comes. Though I’m twisted by questions, I cannot do, do no more than hope, with a trampled heart.
